Increase in thyroid cancer: researchers are asking why

This is described as a medical mystery: why there is a decrease in the number of tumors in general when it is increasing thyroid cancer?
The diagnosis for this type of cancer that affects the gland in the neck is in fact estimated to steadily increase at a rate of increase of around 6% per year according to an analysis provided by the U.S. National Cancer Institute.
Researchers now know to give an account that is linked to increased technological capabilities of medicine, and in particular to the fact that today we do many more scans to inspect neck pain and conditions of arterial plaque and that this contributes to the discovery even tiny tumors in the thyroid, which once would have remained unnoticed and that in most cases did not express any malign evolution and dangerous to health.
